But, what does that really mean?

First, a little background:

Boudoir (bo͞o•dwär) is a French word meaning a woman’s dressing room, bedroom, or private sitting room.

And private is the key word.

That’s because boudoir photography is an incredibly intimate experience. It requires a lot of trust.

And we take that trust very seriously.

With nearly a decade of experience, Simply Lush’s photographer and owner Ashley is seasoned when it comes to the art of posing, wardrobe, and makeup. That is to say, her expertise and skills go well beyond lenses and lighting.

Consequently, our team is fiercely committed to continuing education and professional development. In fact, we’re in the middle of an intensive 12-week training right now. As we speak. And, we’ll be attending the Association of International Boudoir Photographers annual retreat in Boulder, Colorado later this year!

Our exclusive hair and makeup artist Maria is a veteran of the beauty industry. Dedicated to ALL things glam, she’s professionally licensed in Pennsylvania, New York, and Florida. And she’s masterful at making our Dolls shine!
